Afterlife

The concept of heaven and hell does not exist. Instead if someone has hurt someone else enough in their lifetime, the second individual gets to choose the afterlife circumstances of the first individual, and can alter it whenever they so desire.

Otherwise, if the first individual has led a life without hurting others, they can choose their own afterlife, and alter it whenever they so desire.

Since nothing is ever binary, depending on how bad all the hurt was, it is possible that the first individual can choose their own afterlife, for example, 20% of the time and the rest of the time, those who they've hurt can choose their afterlife.

Of course, if someone has done hurt to many individuals, then they all get to take turns together deciding the afterlife of the first individual.
